Dr. jur. Fritz Ball
Dr. jur. Fritz Ball was born in Berlin on 19 July 1893. He worked as a lawyer and notary public. Because of his Jewish background, he lost his licence to practise in the year 1933. In March of that year he was imprisoned together with his brother Kurt in the SA Prison Papestrasse. In the course of the night of the pogrom in November 1938 he was deported to Sachsenhausen concentration camp, where he suffered from severe frostbite. After his release in January 1939 he emigrated first to Great Britain and from there to the USA. Fritz Ball died in New York on 1 August 1976.
